Which Are Digital Art And Which Is Not?

For those pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Fine Arts & Communication, an interdisciplinary program may be the right choice for them. Students will study visual and performing arts, including film production, visual and performing arts creation, animation, digital art production, computer graphics, and web design, to develop highly interactive artistic projects in the digital media environment. These interdisciplinary fine arts programs are combined with business and communication skills to best prepare the student for the workforce. Students can complete a Bachelor of Arts in Communication or an Associate of Arts in Business and Communication, which can lead to a bachelor’s degree and higher salaries.

Digital Art

The Bachelor of Arts in Visual Art is perfect for students interested in visual art. This degree focuses on a comprehensive curriculum of contemporary visual art as well as related disciplines, including photography, drawing, painting, multimedia, film studies, and visual culture. Students will acquire strong interpersonal skills and creative vision while learning about new technologies. For example, they will examine the intersections between digital art and fine art, environmental science, psychology, sociology, visual art history, and visual communications. In the Bachelor of Arts in Visual Art, students will also explore the intersections between digital art and sculpture.

The Bachelor of Arts in Graphic Design focuses on conceptualizing and visualizing visual culture. Graphic designers are responsible for promoting advertising campaigns, product development, and creative product imagery. Graduates will be prepared for high-end positions in advertising agencies, publishing houses, book stores, and design firms. The Bachelor of Arts in Graphic Design combines art and science with business management. Graphic designers use innovative technology to communicate message concepts and generate customer interest.

To pursue graduate work in the visual arts, students need to take classes that prepare them to analyze artwork and design. They will develop technical expertise in color spaces, optical illusions, and composition. Artistic creators who graduated with majors in this field are able to create work that seems “real,” even though it is actually created using computer graphics. In order to learn more about the impact of computer graphics, artists may choose to take digital art courses such as computer animation. During this program, they will create films that imitate real images, but are produced with special effects and computer animations.

Computer graphics graduates will learn how to use the latest tools and systems to enhance creativity. In the Bachelor of Arts in Graphic Design, students will study motion graphics, visual arts, and interactivity, all of which are becoming important elements in film and virtual reality design. Students can pursue either an Associate of Science in Graphic Design or a Bachelor of Arts in Visual Communication.

There are many different types of art that can be considered digital art. Many artists are unaware that their artwork is not really “digital” until someone mentions the term at an exhibition or show. Although it is possible to create a paper print, scan, or DVD of any artwork, it is not technically considered digital art. However, many artists are starting to make the shift to this style of artwork, as it helps them make a larger profit without drastically decreasing their work output.
