Tips on How to Blend on Procreate

You may want to learn how to blend on Procreate. One way to learn how to blend on Procreate is to find out the different methods for doing so and then practice each method. The more you practice, the better you will get. Some of the most popular blending with all blend mode options on the Procreate software are outlined below.

Blending in with Procreate. Some of the most commonly used blending with Procreate brushing options involve dragging a selected item to a specific place and then using the Procreate brush to create a smooth, smudge-free line between it and the object. In some cases, you will find that there are other selections and actions that can be performed with the Procreate pen, including creating loops, erasing, and filling.

Different Effects of Blending. The blending tools on the Procreate software offer two primary blending effects – the hard brush effect and the soft brush effect. These two main blend modes have different effects on the images that you can create.

Using Soft Blending on the Main Layer. When you learn how to blend on Procreate, you may choose to blend all of the objects with Soft blending mode. By using the Soft blends, you can make the image lighter and appear more transparent. For example, if you select the Brush blend option, then you can make the entire image lighter and choose a different color. This is useful if you want to create a lighter, softer effect, which is achieved when you use the size and position of the brush.

Using Smudge Tool for Blending. The smudge tool is not actually part of the blending technique on Procreate, but this tool is widely used by artists to make their images look more interesting. To use the smudge tool, you will need to make sure that your paint application is already on. Then, you will need to click the center of the canvas and then you will move your mouse to the upper right part of the screen.

You should go to the blend mode drop down menu. Here, you will see two selections: Hard Blending and Soft Blending. If you would like to use the hard blending modes, then you need to make sure that the Brush Art icon is selected. The next step is to click on the new button to add the new blend. When you are done, you will be able to see a toolbar at the top of your screen, where you can change the blending brushes that you have chosen.
