All three methods are actually pretty easy to pull off and will end up giving you some really nice looking animation on your Procreate picture.

how to animate on procreate

The first method that you can use to create an animation on Procreate is to simply add a series of images that you have taken with your digital camera onto a new layer. Open the GIF file in your Procreate graphic program. Use the trackball to hover over the image that you have placed there. When you wish to add more than one frame to the animation then you can simply add another add-on layer by hovering over the little plus sign on the right side of the application window. Drag the images that you have placed there onto your selected frames in order to create the full animation.

The second way that you can animate on Procreate is to use the create animation Assist feature. This is available right inside the main Timeline panel. If you hover over the frame you will get a popup displaying the options that you have available to you. Here you will be able to select which frames you would like to display at any given time.

The last method in how to animate on Procreate is to use the blend edit feature. This is very similar to what the stroke edit feature does to your stroke images. You will need to open your project. Select the images that you wish to blend in with your background and then press the blend edit button. There are a few different blending options available here. Basically, to the right of each frame there is a little plus sign that displays a bright red arrow so that you will be able to tell what mode you are currently in.

The last way that you can animate on Procreate is by pressing the sync button. When this appears you will need to click on the sync button so that Procreate will automatically begin the smoothing process for your sequence. This will ensure that all of your images will be blended together seamlessly. To get the best results when using these methods it is recommended that you use a combination of all three of these methods. Sometimes it may not be necessary to use all three methods at once. It is really up to you.
