How To Blend On Procreate: The Different Blending Modes

How to blend in with Procreate is one of the biggest challenges that new parents face when their little ones are born. If you were to imagine what it would be like to get up on the stage in front of a live audience and start talking about the newborn baby’s features, you probably wouldn’t hold your own for very long. Even though you might have great ideas, it’s just not always easy to integrate them into a meaningful and natural way. That’s where the fun stuff comes in when it comes to making your show.

One of the ways how to blend on Procreate is to take full advantage of its built in video options. If you record your nursery pre-birth, you can use the video camera to film your precious moments. You can also record the sounds of your sweet baby to use as well. You’ll be able to use these recorded elements as the perfect mementos to create the atmosphere of your nursery when the time comes. Some of the best popular blending colors with video mode options on your Procreate 2021 camera are outlined below

The first thing you need to know is that you can use the Brush Blending mode on your camera. While you can easily change the blending method using the wheel, this is probably the easiest blending method that you can use for your photos. Just tap on the little circle beside the camera icon to bring up the quick selection tool, and move your mouse cursor over the picture you want to blend. When you move your finger over the blend area, a selection menu will appear, allowing you to drag and drop various items from your photo library and place them right within the selected region.

You can also take full advantage of the built in Smudge Tool on your camera roll. You can even go so far as to assign different graphics to each of your pictures. Just tap on the little square beneath the photo you’d like to align to, and then start dragging the smudge tool around the photo until you’ve got an evenly blended background. To make sure your images get an even result, you’ll want to add a little bit of extra blur to the background using the Rectangle tool. After all your photos have been blended, you can go ahead and save the image as a blend to your computer.

Another way two layers blend together on procreate is by utilizing the Fade tool. By tapping on this special toolbar icon, you’ll be able to select a two-tone color from the pallet and then apply it to your background. If you would like to add more depth to the image, you can simply change the hue value until it matches the color being used in the foreground of your image. One thing to keep in mind when using the Fade tool, though, is that if you change the hue value too much, it will be noticeable as an area in the background. If you need to create an effect similar to Photoshop’s Free Transform function, which allows you to flip an object without altering its position, then this option isn’t for you.

The last method I’d like to discuss in this how to blend on Procreate video tutorial series is the use of the Smudge tool. The Smudge tool allows you to erase unwanted images, outline areas, and apply stamps using a variety of blending modes. If you’d like to create smudges in a specific place on your image with the Smudge tool, you need to click and hold the TAB button while clicking the mouse. This will create a specialized smudge tool. To get the best results with this blending mode, be sure to select the Alpha blending mode.
