There are two different ways to choose which Blend mode on your Procreate keyboard to use when working on your song. The standard blend method on Procreate involves three steps. The first step is to place a selection tool on your track which will become the wave form of whatever sound you are trying to create. Once you’ve created a selection tool, you then use the rectangular button to specify the width and height you want your waveform to begin at. To blend the selected waveform with the other sounds on your track, you will use the round button and the rectangular buttons labeled swap and mirror.
If you need to make a darker, more distorted sound, you can use the dark blend option while creating your sound. This option is used to fill in gaps, create a thicker sound, or add effects such as echo. Finally, you can create a white blend using the white button. If you’d like your track to have a wobbly sound, you can use the wobble blend option. To change what wobbly effect you’re applying, you can use the up and down arrows located on the wobbly icon.
The smudge tool allows you to blur your selection. To use the smudge tool, you click the square where your selection originates. Next, use the up and down arrows to move the point within the square until you reach the area you want to blur. To change the amount of blur created, use the left and right arrows or click in the selection area.
