How To Blend On Procreate

As any photographer will tell you, learning how to blend on Procreate is often the best way to start practicing your techniques. Although it might take a long while to perfect your technique, it’s important to practice what you learn on the most reliable platform available. You can purchase an inexpensive tabletop paint blending brush at any art supply store. If you’d rather learn how to blend on Procreate, however, using the same paint brush but with a different tip will help train your eye to recognize and execute the technique in different light. It’s a great way to build up your confidence, too, because when you’re just starting out, you’ll need all the help you can get.

Choose the brush style that you wish to utilize in your digital art work. The easiest way to do this is to choose a basic round brush that’s between two and three inches long. Learning how to blend on procreate is best done by holding the brush tip close to the surface of the canvas. Learning how to blend on procreate will also help you develop a keen sense for when and where you should use the smudge tool, the least cumbersome of all Photoshop blending tools.

There are a few ways to mix your brush strokes. One way is to flip your brushes upside down. This can be useful when you want to create smooth borders or when you’re working with layers. It can also help you apply the same technique to several different layers.

To apply the techniques to your paintings, you need to create a selection area, and then select the rectangular selection area and choose the “smudge tool.” Using the soft brush, start at the center of your canvas and smudge outwards using the “smudge wheel.” Be very careful where you stop. You don’t want the smudges to show up on the inside part of the canvas. After you’re done, you can go ahead and blend in your other hand selected strokes.

You can apply your techniques to either your brush stroke or your paint stroke. To get the best results, apply your techniques to a new layer before you create the next one. This will ensure that you use blend modes and that you’re not applying the techniques on a previously painted stroke. To create your selections, first draw a line around your selected areas. Once you’ve drawn the line, use the pencil tool to draw an invisible line from the corner to the outer edge of your selected areas.

Once you have finished your strokes, you should close the Paint Control Panel by clicking on the “KEY WS” icon. Use the right and left arrows to bring the Double Rectangle Symbol indicator to the right or the left of the current selection. This will pop open the Layers panel and reveal your two new layers inside – the top right one is the new layer you’ve just created and the bottom right one is the previous layer which you’ve blended.
